If you come across any dried Play-Doh that needs cleaning then the first thing you should try to do is rehydrating it.
Simply get a washcloth wet with hot water, and then place it onto the Play-Doh and let it sit for about an hour.
After the Play-Doh has rehydrated simply clean it up as you normally would.
Can germs live in playdough?
In short, germs live outside the body anywhere from a few seconds to 48 hours. Flus tend to live longer on surfaces than colds. I would like to reassure you that colds and flus live longer on hard surfaces than they do on porous surfaces such as playdoh.
Is it safe to eat Play Doh?
It DOES contain wheat. Play-Doh compound is not a food item and is not intended to be eaten. Play-Doh compound is non-toxic, non-irritating & non-allergenic except as noted: Children who are allergic to wheat gluten may have an allergic reaction to this product.
Will Play Doh dissolve in water?
Most play doughs are neither solid nor liquid, but are suspensions, a mix of solid and liquid. Many play dough recipes include a starch, such as flour, cornstarch, or oatmeal, and oils that do not dissolve in water. The particles are mixed or suspended in the liquid, resulting in a wonderful inbetween consistency.
How long does playdough last?
Store the play dough inside the bags once done to keep soft. Keeps for up to 3 months. Once the dough is finished, I like to put each dough ball into it’s own quart sized zip top bag.
