Water can be added to Air-Dry Clay to soften or join pieces.
To make slip, mix together clay and water until it’s the consistency of heavy cream.
You can use most traditional clay sculpting techniques with Air-Dry Clay, such as coil, slab, pinch, score-and-weld.

Both Model Magic and Air-Dry Clay can be sealed once your piece is completely dry. Both products generally take 24 hours to dry to the touch; 72 hours to dry completely. When completely dry, you can apply an acrylic varnish or Model Magic Glossy Glaze.

What is the best sealant for air dry clay
Your best bet -to avoid yellowing in the future- is an artist-grade sealant or water-based varnish. You can also use watered-down PVA glue or Mod Podge (which is basically the same thing). I use polyurethane water-based varnish (Varethane) for polymer clay and it works just as well for air dry clays.

Using a waterproof sealers on your project will protect it from water and/or heat damage. When looking for a waterproof sealer, make sure that it says water based as that is what makes it ‘waterproof’. Use a thin layer when coating and let dry before adding a second coat.

Does air dry clay stick to plastic
Will air-drying clay stick to plastic, particularly tupperware plastic? No. Few plastics can be glued by water-based adhesives, due to water’s high surface energy (surface tension) and plastic’s very low surface energy. Generally, only specialty glues are sure to stick to plastic.

Can you put air dry clay in the oven
How to bake air dry clay: Line a baking tray with aluminium foil. Put the tray into a cold oven and turn it on to the lowest setting (around 200-250°F). Do not put the clay into an already hot oven as it is likely to crack.
